This has been my favorite preseason straight bet for the last 2 years. Feel very confident about a 3rd time. This is 2 strong defensive teams with less then stellar offenses. Carolina has one of the best defensive lines in the business. Much healthier then when they played last year. No M. Muhammed this year for Carolina on the offensive side. Last year Washington defense ranked #5 points allowed. #3 yds per game allowed. My feeling is the defenses keeps the scoring to a minimum 1st quarter plus. My impressions for preseason games is that the 1st string defensive players play a little longer then the pretty boys on offense. Been listening to a lot of NFL on my satellite radio. Rumor (take with a grain of salt) is that Gibbs wants to get Clinton Portis more involved in the game. Sounds logical since that's what got Gibbs the superbowl rings. As we all know, running the ball keeps that clock ticking.
